Short review about me:

My name is Gabriel Le Duc, I was born in Argentina and I currently live in the South of France and I am a boat Captain on a TP 52.

I have started designing ship models at the age of 15, after which I have obtained the title of Naval Architect.

In parallel, I have been sailing since the age of 10 and started competing since I was 14, achieving very good results, such as selecting several times to represent Argentina in the one design J24 class and Moth Europe  class world championships.

My history with the IOM class begins in 2006 when I lived in La Rochelle, worked at the Incidences sail shop and sailed in the 505 Class. At that time I made my first design that I built by laminating balsa wood.

Then when I moved to the south of France in 2013 I really started to take the development of new hulls seriously, and thanks to what I was learning sailing, and the feedback with fellow sailors I was able to improve my designs year after year, but I was still building boats. laminating balsa wood and only for my personal use.

My adventure with 3D printing began in 2019 acquiring a 3D printer after having seen Sebastien Lefebvre sail a regatta with a Sabre 3D printed, and convinced me that competitive boats could be made with this construction technique.

3D printing allowed me to offer my designs to all the people who have been asking me for years to build wooden boats, but given the complexity of this type of construction it was impossible for me to make them for sale.

The fact of starting to make many test boats led me to invest in the purchase of an aluminum mold to be able to make my own appendices, developed by me.

Also thanks to the 3D printer I developed my own fittings to equip my rigs.
